Mission
Magnalia is a non-profit that is dedicated to helping churches and Christians understand what Bitcoin is and how it fits within Scripture, classical and Reformed theology, and the history of the Church. We want to help Christians understand how using Bitcoin can help them better glorify God in their own earthly callings to provide for their families and to care for their neighbors. We also want to help Christian churches to see how using Bitcoin can help them better fulfill their mission to baptize and teach Jesus’s disciples to the ends of the earth until he comes again.

About Us

Tim Fox
Tim is passionate about economics and bitcoin, but he’s even more passionate about Christ and his church. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the director of distance education and a professor at Knox Theological Seminary, and a fellow with the Center for Pastor-Theologians. He has a PhD in New Testament from the University of St Andrews. He has been a pastor in the United States, a ruling (lay) elder in Scotland, and a missionary in the developing world. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and reading, especially the novels of P.G. Wodehouse.
Jim McAndrew
Jim is a software engineer, entrepreneur, and investor who has been creating software for over twenty years. Most recently he founded Dronelink, a startup that offers flight automation for drones. Jim is a compassionate Bitcoin maximalist and takes interest in theology, Austrian economics, political philosophy, and natural law. He is an avid skier, and enjoys playing music, smoking meat, hiking, being outdoors in the mountains, and living with a low time-preference. As an ordained deacon in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Jim serves as the worship leader of his local church and is passionate about serving the LORD and his kingdom.
