Our Mission
Magnalia is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping churches and Christians wisely navigate powerful new technologies in the light of Scripture, Christian theology, and the history of the Church. We help Christians glorify God and enjoy him forever through the prudent use of tools like AI and bitcoin as well as the cultivation of healthy relationships in an increasingly fragmented, anxious world. We also aim to assist Christian churches adopt these technologies to better fulfill the mission to baptize and teach Jesus’s disciples until he comes again.

Who we are
Tim Fox
FollowTim enjoys helping people understand how Scripture, theology, and bitcoin connect — but he’s even more passionate about helping the Church flourish in the wisdom of Christ. He is a pastor in the PCA, the director of distance education and a professor at Knox Theological Seminary, and a fellow with the Center for Pastor-Theologians. He holds a PhD in New Testament from the University of St Andrews, and has served as a pastor in the U.S., a ruling elder in Scotland, and a missionary in the developing world. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and the novels of P.G. Wodehouse.
Jim McAndrew
FollowJim is a software engineer, entrepreneur, and investor who has been creating software for over twenty years. Most recently he founded Dronelink, a startup offering flight automation for drones. A compassionate Bitcoin maximalist, Jim takes interest in theology, Austrian economics, political philosophy, and natural law. He is an avid skier and enjoys playing music, smoking meat, and living with a low time-preference. As an ordained ruling elder in the PCA, Jim serves as the worship leader of his local church.
Ben Hailey
FollowBen is an ordained minister in the PCA, currently serving as a senior pastor in Texas. He loves Christ and his bride, the church, and wants to see the church thrive around the world. Trained at Reformed Theological Seminary, he ministered to college students for thirteen years before planting a church. Ben is passionate about showing how God’s abundant love catalyzes healthy relationships and joyful stewardship of our agency, value, and gifts. He loves fishing, and peaked around age ten as the two-time Calhoun county greased-pig wrestling champion.
